Digital X-Rays

To help you maintain a beautiful healthy smile and proper chewing function, we need to see you every six months for a comprehensive cleaning and exam. We need to take x-rays once a year to thoroughly evaluate the health of your teeth and gums. Dr. Hooper offers one of the latest technological advances in digital x-rays. A sensor is placed in the mouth and a computer generates an image in 30 seconds, as opposed to the general 4- to 6-minute wait time for images taken on dental film. These x-rays may also be enhanced and/or enlarged on the computer. Not only are they friendly to the environment, they are much safer than traditional x-rays. Digital x-rays reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent.
